Albert Speer was Adolph Hitlers architect. He also was Minister of Armaments and War Production within the Third Reich. He knew what went on during that time. He was the only one of the defendents at the Nurenburg trials who took some responsibility for his actions and showed remorese. He was one of those who was not executed by hanging, but was inprisoned until October 1966.
Speers book is fascinating. It is an important read for anyone who has an interest in the history of the WWII period in Europe.
