There is a treasure map. A small schooner is hired by the uncle. The children, their uncle and an ancient mariner called Peter Duck sail the Atlantic to look for the treasure. They are followed by another boat whose captain has evil intent to beat them out of the treasure. High adventure in this book. It has been suggested that this tale grew out of the childrens imaginations and collective story telling one winter.
A great read.
