Arrival in Mercer, Wisconsin - camp on Saturday, 28 September

Donna's sister and brother-in-law's camp in Mercer.

The Suburban after some heavy breeze caused a pine-needle drop...

Actually up before dawn. Had a walk by the little lake by the camp in Mercer, WI.
Some mist rising off the lake at sunrise made it special.

There was noise in the woods off to the right.
Perhaps it was a well hidden deer. There was a squirrel visible.

Our hosts provided a fine pancake breakfast, then we headed to Tipler, WI

It was very nearly dark when we arrived in Spooner, WI.
We drove through town and north about half a mile to the locaton of the cabin which had burned down a few months previously.
It was just light enough to see the foundation was secure, the garage was in good order
and to pick a few of the apples which the deer had not eaten.
After that short examination in the gloaming of the evening we headed back into town
and found ...

Got up moderately early. Had a snack then drove to Sheboygan, stopping for lunch in Wassau, WI.
We arrived in Sheboygan at 3:30 PM.
