Maria Falfari (de Leon Ortega) Riemann

born 11 Aug. 1906 - - - died 25 Feb. 1982

She was born - in Guadalajara, Mexico
Father = Agusto Falfari
Mother = Dolores Alvarez

Maria Rieman was the daughter of the Italian ambassador to Mexico.
In her early years she lived in a house covering a whole city block in Mexico City.
She was accustomed to the finer things in life.
As a young woman her family convinced her to marry a much older man ( de Leon Ortega ).
Maria had one son, Gus, during this marriage. Later she divorced Leon Ortega.
She took guitar lessons and became very proficient. She once told me that she met and
had some lessons with Andres Segovia.

Maria became a citizen of the United States in 1957 and married John Riemann.
She Lived in McAllen 25 years and
Formerly lived in NY City and Corpus Christi, Texas

According to her obituary her length of illness 5-6 years.
No immediate relatives listed in her obituary.
(but I know she had a son Gus by her first marriage to Mr. de Leon Ortega.
This son, who lived in Mexico, preceded her in death.)

During her last years she lived in
Twinbrooke South Nursing Home
525 Walnut, McAllen, Texas

Her body was was cremated after death
