We drove from Charlestown, SC across Georgia to St. Augustine Florida in a single drive,
arriving in early afternoon.

~ St. Augustine, Florida ~

We located the KOA campground on Anastasia Island just East of mainland St. Augustine at 4:00 PM and set up camp.
We then drove north on A1A and toured the St Augustine Lighthouse.

The KOA Camp is located about a mile South East of the Lighthouse.

The lighthouse keepers house. Note Conch Island in the background and the Atlantic Ocean further back.
The keepers house is now a small museum.

The spiral stairs connect to the outside wall for support.

Like the bridge near the Mariners Museum in Virginia, this one has lions guarding the entrance.

Note that the lions are a matched pair - mirror images looking toward one another.
This bridge connects mainland St. Augustine to Anastasia Island.
