Yorktown battle field

The battle of Yorktown was the turning point in the US Revolutionary war.
George Washington leading American Contintental troops
along with French Army troops led by the Comte de Rochambeau won this battle over
a British Army commanded by British lord and Lieutenant General Charles Cornwallis.
The French fleet under Adm. De Grasse occupied Cheseapeake Bay. His fleet prevented the English from approching and landing reinforcements.
The English surrendered October 19, 1781.
