Crew 1849 - McAllen, TX
Spook Trail at Cub Adventure Weekend
Camp Perry, Texas
27 October 2012

This year the Spook Trail event was largely done by Crew 1849 and Troop 80.
both chartered through Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Mission, TX
There was some help, in the way of spooks on the trail, from some other units.

The trail was not too overgrown this year.
We have not had enough rain to get the growth to close it.

Preparation of props for trail.

Ok, it is official. He is spooky. A leader of Troop 80.

After the event. It was cool enough to want a jacket.

Sunday Morning

The Troop 80 pavillion comes down
The Troop camped in the northern part of the Mesquite campsite.
Note lack of grass or anything small growing. It has been very dry this year.

Youth awakening and packing up
As this was a service event, the camping effort was rather relaxed.

At the end of the road by the Mesquite camp
Vans with rear hatches wide open ready to receive gear to go home.

Leaving camp we looked back at the Camp Office Building and noted that
the momumental sign with the Scout Insignia had been moved
from the entrance drive by the camp kitchen,
where it had been hit several times by large trucks bringing in groceries and dislodged from its foundation
To this much safer place.
