The Creative Incubator was established to offer inexpensive office space for artistic endeavor.



The plaque which celebrated the building of the third phase of the McAllen Memorial Library
The first part, on the south end, was built in 1950. A second phase added an art exhibit room on the West side.
A third phase in 1967 added a 2 story addition on the North side. (total size 20,000 sq ft.)
A fourth phase in 1976 added the 3 story part (expanding the building to 40,000 sq ft.)

In 2011 the Public Library moved to a much larger building located on
the NW corner of 23rd Street and Nolana.
